Purple Flag Event
To celebrate the city of Nottingham being granted Purple Flag status, a series of events were laid on around the city. Purple Flag is an accreditation process that allows members of the public to quickly identify town and city centres that offer an entertaining, diverse, safe and enjoyable night out for all.
An evening of live entertainment and bands in Trinity Square for that public to enjoy was brought together and presented by NottinghamBID. The peak of the performances saw band Real Monsters perform princes classic hit, Purple Rain, while LED glow fire performers and flash mob dancers emerged from the sidelines of the stage.
Purple flags, glow-sticks and goodies were given out to the pubic by the BID's street ambassadors and the whole event saw an insurgence of entertainment and general enjoyment by the lively locals of Nottingham City.
iEffects constructed a stage within Trinity Square on the space's tiered platform and welcomed bands and acts throughout the day. From 1pm a show was open to the public every 45 minutes to celebrate its Purple Flag status. Building the truss and providing stage covering dependant on the weather conditions, iEffects also provided sound equipment, mics and a band monitoring sound box, with the LED lighting controlled by Tiger Touch.
